The Ribeira combines all the charms – traditional, everyday, touristic, picturesque and colorful – into one place, where you can enjoy cafes, restaurants, bars and shops, among others, along the banks of the Duero River.

Very near the Batalha car park, you have the chance to visit the Santo Ildefonso and Santa Clara churches, and the symbolic Porto Cathedral, where you’ll also find the São Lourenço de Grilos Church, Medieval Tower, Murralla del Obispo and the Vímara Peres Statue. Parking at the famous Plaza de la Ribera is no longer a problem thanks to the Batalha car park, where you can leave your car carefree and stroll along the Duero River to contemplate the Vila Nova de Gaia or go boating in its waters.
